The Willowmaid Lighthouse
The willowmaid lighthouse stands about half a mile south of the town of Willowmaid, on a cliff-bound islet that is only accessible by way of a narrow but sturdy rope bridge. The lighthouse itself is carved from a huge dark-grey monolith of a spongy, unidentified volcanic rock, though no-one remembers who did the original carving. Is is the home and work-place of Greznik Masondaughter, who has modified the building extensively using contemporary masonry techniques. The interior of the building has been redone with hardwood floors and a tar-and-slate wall sealing to prevent water from entering the building.
